Omni Unchanged is an AI feature in Rad AI Reporting that enables efficient free-form dictation of just the changed findings between a prior comparison and the current study—saving time and effort.

How Omni Unchanged works
The automated impressions are inserted directly into the report and customized based on the report context and the learned style of each radiologist.
Radiologists can choose a relevant prior report—that's been finalized—as the comparison and dictate just the changed findings into the Omni Box in any order. Omni Unchanged merges findings from the prior report with the newly-dictated changes, then automatically inserts them into the relevant sections of the current structured report. Learn more about prior reports.
Key capabilities
- Parses and merges findings from both the prior report and the current Omni Box content
- Automatically inserts findings into the most relevant section of the current report
- Retains the original language from the prior report while applying the current template structure
- Removes outdated phrasing (e.g., “since prior study,” “new”) that no longer applies
- Prioritizes current dictation if it conflicts with prior report content
- Populates comparison and history fields based on the selected prior report
- Uses blue text to visually distinguish AI-inserted content from dictated and typed text.
When to use
- You're documenting a follow-up study with findings unchanged from a prior study.
- You want to save time by auto-inserting stable findings without re-dictating everything.
- You need to preserve the original phrasing from a previous report while updating it to match the current report structure.
- You’ve already dictated new findings and want AI to merge them with the unchanged findings from a prior report.
Using Omni Unchanged
To access and use Omni Unchanged:
-
Open a report.
-
Apply a relevant template to the report.
-
Go to the Priors view and select the prior report you want to reference for Omni Unchanged. If there’s only one report, it will already be selected by default. If there are multiple, right-click on the desired report in the list and click Omni: Unchanged to select it as your reference.
💡Don’t see the Priors view in your report workbench? Go to your profile > Personal Settings > Workbench > Enabled Views and make sure the Priors toggle is turned on. - Navigate to the Omni Box by performing one of the following actions:
-
With your microphone on, say the voice command: "Omni Box".

When highlighted green, the Omni Box is in focus and ready to capture dictation.

-
Once done, activate Omni Unchanged by either:
- (Recommended) Using the “Omni Unchanged” voice command.

- Review the generated text. Edit as needed and/or add more findings. Then use Omni Unchanged to regenerate the impression.
Tips and best practices
- Currently it’s only possible to reference a single prior report—not multiple prior reports.
- Omni Unchanged will not change the prior report text to match the current user’s style. The generated impression will likely be in the current user’s style—but not the prior findings. If consistent style is important, only use Omni Unchanged if you also dictated the prior report.
- Omni Unchanged works best when used in cases where the body part and modality from the previous report match the current study.
-
Review AI content: Always review the generated text to ensure clinical accuracy.
-
Optimize your templates: Follow these template best practices to get the most out of Omni.
-
Use substitutions: Add your own auto-replace rules to ensure consistent formatting, refine the speech engine's text output, and create content shortcuts. Learn more about substitutions.
- Report issues: Use the in-app feedback dialog to report any accuracy or performance issues with our AI features.
